Who is Michael Valenzuela?
Hi, I’m Mikey, a dynamic computer scientist with a passion for data science and a deep-rooted background in cybersecurity. I hold a master’s degree in Data Science and a certification as a Machine Learning Engineer from MIT. With 8 years of experience in the tech industry, I’ve honed my skills in software engineering, network security, and data analysis.
Inspired by a close friend’s battle with a tumor, I’ve pivoted my focus towards data science in the medical field. I’m driven to use my expertise to contribute to healthcare, particularly in analyzing medical data to advance research and improve patient outcomes.
I’ve been immersed in information technology since I was 16, mastering networking fundamentals and gaining hands-on experience with a variety of technologies. From configuring wireless and wired networks to penetration testing and cybersecurity assessments, I’ve developed a strong technical foundation. My journey has evolved from cybersecurity into the exciting world of data science, where I’m currently focused on applying my skills to solve real-world problems in healthcare.
